Mmmmm... Sort Of.
I have fixed the original problem but created another problem. The deck now runs correctly but if you try to use the spooling controls
it blows a 4 Amp fuse. I'm pretty sure I know where the problem lies. The biggest caps had a center electrode and four earth tabs. They
were a real barsted to get off the board. The new caps were conventional radial caps (just two leads). I'm thinking I may have a cap in
backwards cause its in the wrong Hole(s)!!! It did work initially and I thought beauty its all go, but then it blew the fuse.I suspect the cap
that is wrong has failed. Will have a look tomorrow morning.I think it will be easy to fix....famous last words
