Title: Nathans Monoblocks For Stereo
Post by: paulAdmin on July 04, 2017, 09:34:27 PM
The last amp I made for Nathan was a monoblock center channel.

This new build will give Nathan two new monoblocks for his stereo system. These are no holes bared amps. Note the serious lineup parts, such as one of the highest spec Tango interstage transformer and vintage double CCore power transformers, quality chokes and caps. WBT binding posts and Nextgen RCA sockets. The parts inventory for these amps would be hard replicate.

Finished cut outs came out neatly...

This picture gives you a better idea of the scale of the amps.

Note the significant transformer and choke lineup. I love the look of the double CCore power transformers. Unfortunately, pairs are very hard to find now. Note the scale of the main cap, its a serious piece of work.

The wooden chassis also came out really well, quality timber adds to the charm of these amps.

Wiring completed, one amp is now making music...

Note the large output transformer, rated up to 130 watts.

Note the main blue filter cap that is on top and underneath the chassis, serious purpose made cap filter.

The scale of the output transformer is apparent here, as you can see it covers most of the depth of the wood chassis.

Wow, looks impressive.  Metal work is always a labour of love...............I like the paint finish, it gives it an air of rightness for a valve product.  Nice neat layout too, how many hours did you lay awake trying to figure that all out !!!! :D
